I am a happily married 40 something with a couple of great kids and living by the coast in Brighton.  After drifting through my youth and education, being told I had a talent for art, but not really listening, I proceeded to follow a completely different path and got a degree and career in civil engineering.

But I kept on making sketches and the producing the odd painting of anything that caught my eye until some 5 years ago when I was taken to the classic race car revival meeting at Goodwood. Wow, I was blown away by these beautiful cars with their sleek lines and vivid colours. I rolled off film after film and couldn't wait to get it developed and see what magic I'd captured.

Some nifty editing to make sure I got the image I wanted and I was ready to paint. I decided to paint in acrylics on canvas to get great colour and contrast into the images. At last! A subject matter that kept my attention and I have been photographing and painting these iconic racing machines ever since.
